Camp Quality teenagers

fight cancer with colour!

Camp Quality teenagers had the time of their life when they were given the opportunity to participate in the

new Starburst TV commercial. Starburst is currently running a campaign to raise awareness for Camp Quality,

donating $100 000k, and the colour from their packs.  As part of this campaign Starburst filmed the Camp

Quality teenagers in a massive colour fight!

The teens started the day being prepped for battle. They

were given white clothing and shoes and shown around

the all white set. It didn’t take long for the fun to start-

with kids divided into teams and given balloons full of

coloured paint.

As the director gave the action signal, balloons went flying

in every direction and the excitement and happiness on

the kid’s faces was contagious as they were hit with colour

from every angle!

“We really appreciate Starburst giving our teenagers the opportunity to participate in this commercial,” says

Lee Drury, National Marketing Manager for Camp Quality.

“It was the perfect fun therapy activities for our teenagers, they had a fantastic time. It’s not often you get the

opportunity to be involved in something like this and Starburst did a wonderful job making sure it was all

about the teens having a great time.”

“The $100,000 we have given to Camp Quality will kick-

start a new High School Cancer Education Performance

Program,

developed to help teens understand the real

issues facing their peers living with cancer,” says Andrew

Leakey, Starburst Marketing Director.

Written specifically for teenagers, The Teenage Alchemist

explores the personal conflicts and inner-crises that

emerge as a result of a cancer diagnosis, as two teenagers deal with living with cancer in very different ways.

The 40 minute performance is free to high schools and is being rolled out nationally during 2010.

Camp Quality is the children’s family cancer charity that believes in bringing optimism and happiness to

children affected by cancer and their families through fun therapy and education. The Teenage Alchemist is the

latest addition to their education program, with the performance rolled out though Sydney during terms three

and four in 2009.

To assist Camp Quality in kick starting the program Starburst has donated $100 000 and the iconic yellow

colour from their packs, to help raise awareness for the role Camp Quality plays in bringing colour to the lives

of families affected by cancer. The limited edition packs are in stores now and will be supported by a national

TVC campaign featuring Camp Quality teenagers and will encourage viewers to show their support for Camp

Quality.
