Fish Friday puts justice on the menu
Background
Caritas Australia with Restaurant and Catering Australia is inviting Sydney to stand in solidarity
with the millions of people in the developing world who survive on a staple diet of fish and rice.
On 19 February, 2010 Caritas Australia will be holding Fish Friday in Martin Place from 12-2pm,
with four mystery celebrity chefs preparing fish and rice meals for the cost of a donation.
Fish Friday is part of Caritas Australias Project Compassion, the largest humanitarian fundraising
campaign in Australia. Donations support Caritas Australias long term development projects in
32 countries, enables the agency to respond to humanitarian emergencies and engage
Australians in the quest to tackle poverty.
