Royal Far West to accept children’s bikes from Day of Difference Foundation

Sydney, NSW – 16 December 2009 - Christmas is normally a time of happiness - family, feasting and fun -

but for many children, this Christmas will be spent in hospital surrounded by equipment rather than

family.

The Day of Difference Foundation is committed to making these kids’ lives a bit brighter this year by

donating bikes to children who are treated at the Royal Far West facility in Manly.

The bikes that will be donated were put together at a recent Westpac training day as part of Westpac’s

partnership with the Day of Difference Foundation.

Day of Difference feels the kids at Royal Far West who come in and out for support and development

will really benefit from these bikes as a respite from having to travel a long way from their rural homes

to receive specialist healthcare services.

The 27 children’s bikes will be accepted tomorrow by Royal Far West CEO Jan Kingston, who will be

accepting the donation from Day of Difference Foundation CEO and Founder, Ron Delezio.

Bikes will also be donated to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, The Sydney Children’s hospital and

Bear Cottage.

-Ends-
