The Inaugural Sports Charity Ball is an exclusive black tie event, benefiting the McGrath Foundation and held
in conjunction with the leading sport industry conference: Sport Business World with keynote speakers
Nathan Rees, Peter Holmes a Court, Minister of Sports Hon Kate Ellis, Craig Phillips (Australian Olympic
Committee) and several well known CEOs from large sporting bodies.
Open to all who love sport, this special event combines fantastic food and entertainment with the chance to
mix with elite sportswomen Stephanie Rice and Layne Beachley, as well as Mark Beretta as MC and Sam
Kekovich as the speaker.
Guests at the Sports Charity ball will not only enjoy a spectacular, sport-filled evening, but will also have the
opportunity to support the work of the McGrath Foundation and by extension, Australian women diagnosed
with breast cancer, and their families.
The McGrath Foundation aims to raise funds to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses throughout regional and
rural Australia, as well as increasing breast awareness among Australian women, especially those under 40.
Although this is a black tie event, guests are encouraged to wear a splash of pink to show their support for
the McGrath Foundation. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid in an auction of valuable sports
memorabilia, with all proceeds going to the McGrath Foundation.
Organised by Association and Communication Events, the Sports Charity Ball is a highly entertaining social
event best shared with friends, family or work colleagues.

ABOUT THE MCGRATH FOUNDATION
The McGrath Foundation was co-founded by Jane and Glenn McGrath after Jane’s initial recovery from
breast cancer. The McGrath Foundation aims to raise money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in rural
and regional Australia as well as educating young women to be ‘breast aware’. Visit
