Wesley to launch report on an alternative model of crisis accommodation
WHAT: Wesley's 'No Vacancy' report highlights the need to move away from the failed motel model of crisis accommodation.
WHO: Wesley CEO, Poul Bottern, will launch the report
WHEN: 10:30am Thursday February 18
WHERE: Wesley Homelessness Services, 291A Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood 3143
WHY: Current motel models of crisis accommodation place an additional strain on family units and a family friendly approach would help to provide a more stable and safe environment, limiting the impact of crisis on the children.
