Friday April 17 is Wish Day 2009!

Australias national fundraising and awareness event is fast-approaching and
the childrens charity is asking everyone to help Flossy, the Wish fairy, grant Wishes this
Wish Day.
In its fifth year, Wish Day enables Australian businesses, communities and individuals to
share in the power of a Wish.
Make-A-Wish
®
will have a presence nation-wide and there are many opportunities for you to
get involved.
Tin-rattlers will be out and about collecting money in your local area so that Make-A-Wish
can continue granting cherished Wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
So whether it is making a donation, organising a fundraising event at work, buying or selling
merchandise or helping out at a sausage sizzle Make-A-Wish would love your support!
Make-A-Wish Australia grants the Wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions
to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
The Foundation was established in 1985 and has since granted over 5,500 Wishes nation-
wide.
Make-A-Wish has over 1000 volunteers at 56 branches across Australia.
In 2008 alone the charity granted 433 Wishes to children with life-threatening medical
conditions.
