World Vision's Haiti earthquake appeal
passes $1 million
Australians continue to give generously to support survivors of the Haiti earthquake, with
donations today exceeding $1 million.
"This earthquake has devastated Haiti. But Australian support has allowed World Vision to
provide medical assistance, blankets, tarpaulins, food and clean water to thousands of
survivors," said Anthea Spinks, from World Visions emergency response team.
"We have had tons of supplies successfully airlifted into Port au Prince, and distributed to the
community there."
"But this is a disaster that is almost beyond comprehension. We ask Australians to keep giving
whatever they can - every dollar counts."
