Holiday Arrangements for CSA Customers

The Child Support Agency (CSA) today advised its office closing times over the
Christmas and New Year period.

The CSA will be closed for usual business from 12 noon on Thursday 24 December
2009 and will re-open at 8:30am on Monday 4 January 2010.

The CSA will transfer child support payments received for December to bank
accounts between 16 and 31 December (excluding public holidays).

The Child Support Information Service (131 107) is an automated telephone service that receiving parents can use during this period to get information about their child support case, including details about their next payment, last payment and the latest CSA information.

Parents can also register with CSAonline at www.csa.gov.au. This allows them to check their latest account information, view and update their personal details and tell the CSA about changes to their care or income.

The holidays can be a difficult time for separated families. Parents can visit
www.familyseparation.humanservices.gov.au for information about emotional,
financial and legal issues associated with separation.

Parents who need extra support and advice are also encouraged to call the CSA on
131 272 for referrals to local support services before Thursday 24 December 2009.
