THE HON WARREN SNOWDON MP

Minister for Indigenous Health, Rural and Regional Health

and Regional Services Delivery

MEDIA RELEASE

11 December 2009

ADDITIONAL MATERIAL - SNOWDON SHAVES MO

Earlier today a media release on this subject was circulated on AAP.  In summary, the Minister

for Indigenous Health, Rural and Regional Health and Regional Services Delivery, Warren

Snowdon, took advantage of his attendance at the ‘Have a Crack’ Day to shave off his treasured

moustache which he had been growing for 40 years.

He undertook to remove the mo as part of a campaign that highlights men’s health issues,

specifically prostate cancer and depression. Mr Snowdon raised more than $8000 for the

campaign.

Mr Snowdon opened the inaugural ‘Have a Crack’ Day, organised by Andrology Australia to

focus attention on and raise funds for men’s health issues.
