HEALTH REFORM CONSULTS IN ALBURY
The Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Mark Butler,
will visit Albury Base Hospital tomorrow (Wednesday)
as part of a Federal Government round of national consultations on reform of the
Australian health system.
The Rudd government is consulting around Australia on the 123 recommendations of
the report, A Healthier Future For All Australians, which covers every facet of
Australias health care system.
Mr Butler will undertake consultations with health groups and staff at the hospital,
following a tour of some of the wards, including the oncology unit.
Media is invited to join the hospital tour (pool camera arrangements may be required)
and to attend the forum to see what local health professionals have to say.
