HEALTH REFORM CONSULTS IN MELBOURNE
FIRST FORUM TO FOCUS ON DENTICARE
The Minister for Health and Ageing, Nicola Roxon,
will visit The Royal Dental Hospital in Melbourne
on Tuesday (29th September)
as part of the Federal Governments national consultations on reform of the
Australian health system.
Prior to the consultation forum, Minister Roxon will tour part of the dental
hospital where she will meet clinicians, a parent and child participating in the
teen dental program and some undergraduate dental students.
The media is invited pool arrangements for the tour may be required. The
forum is open to media.
Background: The Rudd government is consulting around Australia on the 123
recommendations of the report, A Healthier Future For All Australians, which covers every
facet of Australias health care system.
The focus of this consultation will be the Reform Commissions proposed universal dental
scheme Denticare.
