Major Prostate Cancer Announcement

A major change is to be announced to the age at which men are recommended to first consider testing for
Prostate Cancer - the most common cancer in Australia - with 20,000 men diagnosed and about 3,300 deaths
each year.
Who: Dr David Malouf, President of the Urological Society of Australia and
New Zealand (USANZ) - the peak body for urological surgeons in both
countries.
A 48 year-old prostate cancer survivor will also be present and available
for interview.
Where: A media conference will be held at the Royal Automobile Club
(RAC Vintage Room, Level 5) 89 Macquarie Street Sydney at 11.30am
Wednesday 23rd September.
