HEALTH REFORM CONSULTS IN BLACKTOWN
The Minister for Health and Ageing, Nicola Roxon,
will visit Blacktown Hospital in Sydney on Thursday (6 August)
as part of a Federal Government round of national consultations following
the release of the report of the National Health and Hospitals Reform
Commission, which includes more than 120 recommendations to reshape
Australias health system.
The report, A Healthier Future For All Australians, makes recommendations on every
facet of health care, including dental care, workforce issues, Indigenous health,
hospitals, primary care, aged care. preventative health and the use of electronic patient
records.
Hospital and local health professionals will attend the consultations tomorrow to put
their views to Minister Roxon. The wider public can also have their say at
