MEDIA ALERT
DOORSTOP: Minister for Health and Ageing, Nicola Roxon and Australian General
Practice Network (AGPN) Chair Dr Emil Djakic
Access to health care is the key issue for many Australians. Some are far from General Practitioners (GPs), others live in metropolitan areas but can't get in to see a doctor. One solution is the creation of Primary Health Care Organisations which can coordinate care so patients see the right provider, at the right time, in the right place and at the right cost. AGPN today will present the Minister for Health and Ageing a summary position on their view of what these organisations will do to help Australians get the right access to health care, wherever they live.
