For Immediate Release

NEXT GENERATION AGED CARE FACILITY PLANNED FOR HOLLYWOOD VILLAGE

The Regis Group will build a new state-of-the-art 274 aged care facility on its Hollywood Village

site located in Nedlands.

Following an extensive Expression of Interest phase in the Hollywood Village aged care precinct

the Regis Group has decided it will maintain full ownership of the site and move forward with this

exciting development.

The new multi-level facility, featuring two distinctly different designed buildings, will offer low, high

and dementia specific care as well as high care premium additional services.  The new facility is

designed to meet or exceed current Environmentally Sustainable Design requirements

and

is

close to several major hospitals.

Residents will have access to varying styles of accommodation including self-contained luxury

suites featuring large combined living, dining and sitting areas, fireplaces, alfresco dining options

and private landscaped gardens.

First class lifestyle precincts are also on offer and include on-site hairdresser, cinema,

internet

café and private dining areas, along with access to a roof terrace garden.

Dementia specific residents are particularly well catered for with a purpose built ground floor wing

and sensory garden.

On completion residents of Regis’ three aged care facilities, Park Lodge, Weston Lodge and

Elloura Lodge, will be offered places in this next generation facility.

Regis Group CEO Ross Johnston says, “The building of the new aged care facility and the

addition of 40 new beds will not only provide a state of the art home to our current residents’, it is

an investment in much needed new facilities to meet future demand in Western Australia.

“With most aged care providers not in a position to commit to further building the Regis Group is

continuing in its commitment to provide older Australians with quality housing and care and

respond to the challenge of an ageing population”, he added.

The Regis Group owns and operates seven aged care facilities in Western Australia and has

recently completed a new wing offering 16 additional beds at its Bunbury facility, Regis Forrest

Gardens.

The new Hollywood Village facility is scheduled to open in early 2012.
