RADIO GRABS: Healthcare Costs Continue Surge


Friday, 21 November, 2008: A new report by Medibank Private shows another surge in

healthcare costs with benefits paid for hospital admissions increasing by 8%.


Nationally, hospital visits also grew by 6.7% with members claiming more than 50,000 extra

admissions, driven largely by an increase in day procedures.
