RADIO GRABS: Hospital Day Admissions Drive Costs
Friday, 21 November, 2008: A new report by leading health insurer, Medibank Private, reveals
benefits paid for hospital admissions have risen almost 8% in the past year.
Nationally, hospital visits also grew by 6.7% with members claiming more than 50,000 extra
admissions, driven largely by an increase in day procedures.
