Sydney IVF Delivers Unrivalled Services to
North West Region
The first dedicated IVF day surgery facility in Sydney’s North West region
officially opens today,
providing the local community with an unrivalled, comprehensive range of services not offered by any
other clinic in the area.
The Sydney IVF Northwest clinic is the result of a forward thinking decision to create a complete IVF
centre of excellence in the new medical precinct based at the NorWest Business Park and alongside
the new NorWest Private Hospital.
Sydney’s North West is one of the fastest growing areas of Sydney. The need for specialised IVF
services in the district is growing rapidly as the population
within the North West expands.
The
demographics of the area lend themselves strongly to young couples looking to have children in
the next few years and available space for residential growth is still well short of its expansion
capability.

Sydney IVF welcomed the Pirie Family and in particular three-year-old, Cody, the first IVF baby born
at the original Sydney IVF Northwest clinic three years ago, to officially open the new facilities. The
original facility which was located nearby in the Norwest Business Park was relocated and upgraded
to be in closer proximity to the new Norwest Private Hospital and to bring all services under one roof.
The new facility
services the catchment area of Hornsby to Epping and then West to Penrith and
Windsor and is expecting 350-400 patients in the first year. Its location will now eliminate the need for
local patients to travel long distances for such advanced services. The proximity of the new private
hospital is also strategically important to the seven local IVF specialists.
The full range of Sydney IVF’s services will be available to patients, including monitoring patient’s
cycles through to IVF and the more advanced PGD (pre-implantation genetic diagnosis). In addition
the clinic will offer, on site blood monitoring collection, an easily accessible ultrasound located in the
same building and enhanced andrology services (sperm testing).
Two years in the planning from concept to opening, the Sydney IVF Northwest clinic represents a two
million dollar investment by Sydney IVF. The clinic boasts well appointed treatment and procedure
rooms, theatres, recovery areas and comfortable interview rooms and is supported by a full time team
of 13 staff - six nurses, five scientists and two administrative staff.
