What's On / Diary Date:

Sydneysiders Big Health Check -

Sunday 31 January 2010

Sydneysiders will have the opportunity to get a free cholesterol health check this Sunday 31 January

at Show Ring, Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park, as part of a New Year initiative to raise awareness

about heart health.

With 1 in 2 Australian adults having higher than recommended cholesterol levels a statistic that has

shown little sign of improvement in 30 years

i

-

a free cholesterol health check will be offered to the first

250 adults to arrive at the Flora pro-activ van.

The event marks the start of The Biggest Loser 2010 campaign and in partnership with Flora pro-activ

will be offering inspiration for many to make their own 'health change' for the better.

Come down and meet Shannan Ponton and Michelle Bridges, the trainers from The Biggest Loser

Couples, and take part in a free fun aerobics class as part of the biggest aerobics class attempt.

Flora pro-activ is also inviting visitors to embark on a Biggest Loser quest of their own - to lower their

cholesterol absorption with the Flora pro-activ 3 - week challenge online.  To kick start the challenge

the Flora pro-activ van, offering free cholesterol screening tests, will be on site from 11am till 3pm.

Readers just need to get down to Moore Park and go to the Flora pro-activ van.  The first 250 visitors

will get their cholesterol checked for free (a nominal fee of $10 is charged after that).  The cholesterol

screening test involves a simple finger prick and takes just 5 minutes. It measures total cholesterol,

and is a useful indicator of heart health.*

Anyone with higher than recommended cholesterol can join the Flora pro-activ 3-week challenge

online at www.thebiggestloser.com.au/heart-health.htm, and join the crowd taking positive steps

toward a healthier 2010.

It's time Australia improved its performance when it comes to cholesterol. Taking the 3-week

challenge will help many Australian's be the biggest winner of a healthy heart.
