USP Appoints LGC Promochem India Private Ltd. as Exclusive Distributor of USP Products in India
ROCKVILLE, Md., June 16 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --
The U.S. Pharmacopeial (USP) Convention is pleased to announce an exclusive distributorship
agreement with LGC Promochem India Private Limited, Bangalore. As of July 1, 2009, LGC Promochem
will be the sole source of USP products such as publications of written documentary standards and physical
reference materials in India, Pakistan, Maldives, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. LGC Promochem India
Private Ltd. has six offices throughout India, and has developed an extensive network of relationships
throughout India's burgeoning pharmaceutical industry.
According to John Fowler, USP's chief global services officer, "This agreement will provide one-stop-
shopping for USP customers in India. We've worked closely with LGC Promochem India Private Ltd. for
more than 15 years, and have been impressed by their growth and their expertise. They are well respected
throughout the industry, and the agreement will help ensure the identity and quality of Indian
pharmaceutical products."

USP customers in India should note that as of July 1, 2009 they will no longer be able to order from USP
