Council to consider final plan for Swanston Street

The final plan for Swanston Street will go before Melbourne City Councillors for endorsement next Tuesday 2 February.

A report being released today, ahead of next week's council meeting, recommends the final redevelopment plan for Melbourne's busiest shopping and transport strip.
The report will be made available to media at 9.30am to allow for 30 minutes reading time, followed by a media conference with the Lord Mayor at 10am.

Parking may be arranged on Swanston Street for broadcast
vehicles only.

Collect parking permits from the concierge desk in foyer
of Town Hall administration building.


10am: Media conference with Lord Mayor Robert Doyle

On Swanston Street, out the front of the Town Hall
Administration Building.

(stills only) of design plans and a timelapse
photography DVD vision of the current situation in
