Helping older adults to enjoy an active life is the focus of an upcoming program at Lake
Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre. The Active Life Weekend will be held from
Friday 27 to Sunday 29 March (enrolments close 13 March).
Older adults have so much to gain from an active lifestyle improved physical health,
mental health and social connections, said Joanne Barrett from NSW Sport and

The Active Life Weekend at Lake Burrendong provides a safe and fun environment for
light physical activity and social recreation.
It promises to be a fantastic experience with activities including:

A concert on the Saturday night and BBQ in the great outdoors.
I strongly encourage older adults to make the most of this opportunity to kick start an
active lifestyle - its never too late to get active.
