The book that
answers life's
most intriguing
question...
Does God exist?
DAVID HEENAN an award-winning Creative Director in
the hectic world of Advertising was a sceptic for some 20
years of his adult life before a set of dramatic circumstances
prompted him to ask the ultimate question: does God exist,
and if so, is He interested in us, and is He willing to help us?
One chapter (pg 86) is devoted to the author's personal encounter with God.
Heenan spent almost two years researching and writing The Sceptic's Guide to God. He has brought together a wide array
of evidence as to why people can believe and trust in God powerful evidence he thinks many people are unaware of.
His book has been likened to a library that has been condensed into just one book. He's done the work most of us don't
have the time to do examining evidence uncovered by a huge range of specialists in their own fields including biochemists,
astrophysicists and archaeologists... and presents their findings in an easy-to-read style that anyone can understand and enjoy.
The informative text is accompanied by almost 200 colour images, giving the book great visual appeal.
David covers many topics including why many famous people including astronaut Buzz Aldrin, actor Denzel Washington,
Sir William Deane, Major General Cosgrove, and Bono of U2 believe in God, and how He has influenced their lives. The
author also documents modern-day miracles, and explains why the number seven is perhaps God's favourite number it is
embedded in both Nature and The Bible in extraordinary ways.
He explains, too, why more and more scientists are ditching Darwin's Theory of Evolution. Why? Their own research is
revealing just how systems in Nature are so complex and finely tuned that they "shout design"! David points out that the
chance of life arising from non-living chemicals, for example, is ridiculously implausible and backs it up with views from
leading scientists like Dr. John P. Marcus (who has a BA in Chemistry, MS in Biological Chemistry and PhD in Chemistry)
who said: "Evolutionists have not come up with any specific scenarios that would explain how life arose from non-living
chemicals. The stories that are put forward are like fairytales with some science thrown in to make them sound educated."
It would be interesting to know how famed atheist Richard Dawkins would counter the compelling evidence for God's
existence presented in this fascinating, well researched book!
