Appointment of Chief Executive Officer


The Board of the Community Housing Federation of Victoria has much pleasure

in announcing today that Ms JACQUI WATT has been appointed as its new

Chief Executive Officer.

Ms Watt is currently the CEO of the Scottish Housing Federation, the peak

body for over 160 Scottish Housing Associations who manage over 260,000

housing units.

Chairperson of CHFV, Bryan Lipmann, said: “At a most significant time in the

development of the social housing industry in Australia, we are fortunate to

have a woman who brings with her a wealth of knowledge from a country that

has a large and well developed housing sector.”

“CHFV is delighted to have been able to attract a candidate of such outstanding

qualifications,” said Mr Lipmann.

Jacqui, who will be relocating to Melbourne and will commence at CHFV in mid

March 2010, said:

"This job offers me a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of

social housing in Australia. My years at the Scottish Federation will stand me in

good stead and I will take much learning from the Scottish experience which I

hope will be of benefit to our colleagues in Australia. I am thrilled to have been

offered the position.”
