Melbourne City Council trials CCTV patrol vehicles to enhance city safety

The vehicles will be operational on Friday and Saturday nights between 10pm and 6am
and will
complement the additional 31 safe city cameras installed in August, which brought the total to 54.
The
surveillance vehicles
will be instantly recognisable
and have a 360 degree view of
the street and
surrounds for the car crews and camera operators to observe and record activities in selected areas.
