ROAD SAFETY WORK
ALMOND STREET, WILTON
The RTA is advising motorists of changed traffic conditions at the intersection of
Picton Road and Almond Street, Wilton from Monday 26 October 2009.
Road work will be carried on Picton Road near the intersections to build a new
median to separate traffic turning left into Wilton.
Work will also be carried out to install street lights to improve visibility at the
intersection.
The work will be carried out
from Monday
26 October 2009 and is expected to
take three months
to complete, weather permitting. The hours of work will be
Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm.
Motorists are asked to drive carefully through the work site and to comply with all
temporary signs and traffic control measures.
A
reduced speed zone will apply throughout the work site and motorists are
advised to expect minor delays.
This $500,000 work is funded by the Federal Government under the Nation
Building Program and is in addition to the State Governments $12 million
program of safety improvements for Picton Road.
The RTA appreciates the patience of motorists while this important work is
carried out.
