Swanston Street Redevelopment Update

Melbourne City Councillors will consider a status report on the Swanston Street redevelopment project at the Council meeting on Tuesday, 27 October.

At 11.30am today, media will be provided with a copy of the Council report and Lord Mayor Robert Doyle will be available for comment.

In June of this year, following extensive public consultation, Council endorsed the community's preferred option for Swanston Street `Option 6: Decreased Motor Vehicle Access'.

The report being released today provides four detailed designs for achieving the community's preferred outcomes.
