5000 pharmacies, Our Community and Telstra Foundation
tell Australians: “Join In, Join Up!”
WHAT?
Join In, Join Up! – a national initiative linking Australians with their community
via 5,000 local pharmacies and Australia’s new online directory of 55,000
community groups – is being launched Friday 13 November.
WHAT ELSE?
Taking the concept of “Join In, Join Up!” literally, the CEO of Our Community,
national president of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and the general manager of
Telstra Foundation will participate in a laughter yoga demonstration by Hornsby
Laughter Group to kick off the launch. There will also be pharmacists available for
interview.
WHO?
Speaking will be: Pharmacy Guild of Australia national president Kos Sclavos;
Our Community CEO Rhonda Galbally AO; Telstra Foundation National
Manager Maria Simpson.
VISION
Community group performance in busy city pharmacy: music by handbell ringers,
Kevinwood Orchestra and Bells.

Terry White Chemists, Shop B-046, Lower Ground Floor, Chatswood Chase
Shopping Centre, 345 Victoria Street, Chatswood.
WHEN
Launch event is scheduled for 10am. Media should arrive 20 minutes prior.
PARKING
Free (3hrs) undercover parking available at Chatswood Chase – enter from 345
Victoria Street for best access to Terry White Chemists at lower ground floor of
shopping centre.
NOTES TO TELEVISION CREWS
Please note the event will happen in-store at Terry White Chemists; it is a very
large pharmacy but space will be reasonably limited. There will be no sound deck
setup but power available.
